Doll Donated

Mein Liebling

This lovely doll was donated to the Hunt House by Mary Malone.   It’s a reproduction German doll, the kind that was made in the early 1920s.  Mary painted the head and made all the clothes.   The wig was purchased.  This doll has blown-glass eyes as were typical of the time.  Mary was very proud of her doll collection, stitching their outfits from fabric she found in her mother-in-law’s trunk.  (As told by Mary on May 29, 2009)
